CPI Chaos In The S&P
Chaos Clinic For 02/16/2024

The top chart shows that the S&P is in a move 7 of a Chaos Clamshell up from the
Jaunuary 2024 low. Move 6 was this week's panic over the CPI report.
The chart shows the Pluto helio flux lines. I've shown previously how these flux lines
can help determine turning points. This Chaos Clamshell based on +Ph090. A full circle
move would marginally exceed Monday's high. A move to about 5115 +Ph135 is possible.
The lower chart shows this week's action so far. Shown in orange is the WinXGO forecast
from daytradingforecasts.com It plots one point per day at solar noon. It's main use
is for swing trading, and planning a day trading strategy. The orange EXMA is the 2400
minute, which helps track XGO. Normally I take day trades in the direction of the 2400,
unless the separation is too extreme, as it was late Tuesday. The bars are colored by the
36 and 200 EXMA crossings.
On Monday, prices rallied early, but turned down at noon, forming a 1 and 2 of a down
Chaos Clamshell. Early on Tuesday, a move 3 and 4 developed. Then the negative reaction
to the CPI report produced a large move 5. In most Chaos Clamshells move 5 is the largest.
Prices bounced in a move 5, then dropped in move 7.
The end of this down fractal came on the third vertical line of a "Confusion Day" pattern.
These three lines mark lunar cycles, each of which can change the market direction. The
guide line for trading this pattern is to wait until after the third line, then go with the flow.
The chart shows Venus and Pluto flux lines. Move 7 down did not quite touch the +Ph315,
but bounced off the +Vh000 flux. This started a new up Chaos Clamshell.
This Chaos Clamshell looks to be in move 5, with 6 and 7 to go. The Venus flux lines set
many key levels. A move up to +Vh315 or +Vh180 is likely.
