Chaos Clinic Recap
Here are Al's comments
12:47 I think I'm going to call it a day. I'm beat. The third trade is left as an exercise for the student.
Thanks for coming. See you next week. Take a course or two.
12:42 my mind is behind the market today; I did not get a good night's sleep, and my brother is having heart surgery. So I'm happy with my two trades.
12:38 that trade came going into the Tide Time, so I took it while I had it
12:36 near exact Tide time; covering for +5; also Mercury timeline and Mercury +M090 flux
12:26 I will cover 1309 if get there
12:24 stop to 1315.5
12:18 next set of Sun/Moon flux are near 1311
12:16 stop to 1318
12:04 slow, but sold 1318 stop 1321
12:03 from the high I see 7 moves-possible down CC
11:57 dipping on Sun/Moon timelines
11:44 holding up pretty well after the initial drop. May manage to hold up from here
11:35 dipped to the Moon +T135/+H135 flux and bounced as passed Mars timeline; now approaching Sun and Moon timelines- New Moon at work
11:31 getting support on the Venus +V180 flux
11:20 continuing to congest; this looks like move 4 in a down Chaos Clamshell
10:54 posted a second FOG chart in the CCT Room
10:37 so much for the first trade. I don't expect the others to be as dramatic. Now need to digest the drop for a while
The range is about 15 points; divide by 3 to get 5; estimate of "digestion time" buy Gann's rule of price square time
10:34 also, that FOG chart I posted told me a) sharp drop might come, and b) to cover. Updated it in CCT Room
10:29 low hit the gold 2640 EXMA on the MTRainbow and started to bounce, so I covered.
10:27 I'm covering here for +4; late entry; take it now
10:25 stop to 1324, at the 55 min EXMA
10:20 stop 1326
10:18 I put a lot of weight on speed-this is a good, fast move. Trend is clearly down now
10:13 bit slow in my entry; doing too many things; we will see how it turns out
10:10 OK, taking sell at 1324.5 stop 1328
10:06 broke 440; sitting on my hands; I want to see how it comes out of this Tide time
10:04 not a lot of juice so far
10:00 looking for a buy setup here
9:58 I have placed a Face of God chart in the Certified Chaos Trader's Room. That room is open
to graduates of my 4 main courses. See http://moneytide.com -> Courses for details.
9:52 still holding up, suggesting this Tide time is a low
9:45 testing 440 support
9:40 on the SPSunMoonMer chart, Have support on the Sun +H180/Moon +T180 (New Moon) electric field flux
9:37 early selling-typical on Friday
9:34 yesterday, the movement per hour after 10:30 was only about 1 point per hour. Could see that again today.
On the MTRainbow chart, the 110 is flat, and the 440 is support near 1327
9:24 starting pretty flat after positive jobs report- pattern suggests a flat to modestly down day; Trade times 10:16, 12:38, and 14:29
9:00 Good morning from Chaos Manor
Besides the comments made by Al, the chat room is has live
comments from other traders who sometimes share their views,
trades and tips. Below are the chat room comments from this clinic
3/4/2011 11:06:33 AM MT MJ:: Yes, thank you Dr. Larson. Glad to hear you are doing well. Sending your brother "good vibes."
3/4/2011 10:57:18 AM MT Al****:: Thanks MM. Same to you.
3/4/2011 10:52:48 AM MT mm****:: Al - Thanks for doing the clinic again - good luck to your brother - have a great weekend
3/4/2011 9:42:24 AM MT TG****:: Since it is Friday, I think the FOP count relative to past two days is this morning's high was a top on move 5 and the low was a low in multiday move 6. Buying the pivot price with a 3 point stop under it looks really good now. Don't think I'd have been able to hold through all those retests back below it however.
3/4/2011 9:36:23 AM MT TG****:: that was a lot of whipsawing at and around the pivot right there. Odd to see that sort of action around no news or tide time this far from the outcry open.
3/4/2011 9:32:17 AM MT TG****:: For what it's worth, posted a FOG chart in chat room with a comment about scaling. Would welcome any comments. Looking at this chart I'm not sure why I don't use FOG overlay's more often.
3/4/2011 9:15:45 AM MT TG****:: That's what I figured, so Al's high, low close should pretty much be the same as the outcry session levels on the mini, if not, his data supplier had an error. Using the prior day's mini level to compute the pit support/resistance levels is going to give just about the same prices as using the big contract levels.
3/4/2011 9:12:21 AM MT mm****:: TG - according to the O-H-L-C figures in the WSJ the difference between the es and SP is never more than 1 tick
3/4/2011 8:48:58 AM MT TG****:: Made 7 down, if I was a little more patient could have locked 5 and got 9 but a bit of a stall right at exact tide time so I compromised for a tweener. Couldn't turn around so quickly from a selling mode to a buying mode on the pivot/tide turn potential. Saw two doji or spinning tops right on the pivot, suppose I could have bought one with a 3 point stop below the pivot.
3/4/2011 8:26:06 AM MT TG****:: Will you only take one of those setups within a range of about 30 minutes on each side of a moon tide. I generally look at a tide window as maybe 35 minutes before the tide but a little longer after it, perhaps 45 minutes and sometimes up to an hour.
3/4/2011 8:19:54 AM MT mm****:: TG - no - it did not stick through the BB and was not a MT projected CIT - NOW we have a CIT on the pit's pivot of 1321
3/4/2011 8:18:54 AM MT TG****:: Also, MM, how far off could the Big contract during the outcry session really be from the mini
3/4/2011 8:12:02 AM MT TG****:: MM did you sell the 3 min candle shooting star near the BB at 9:33
3/4/2011 7:20:04 AM MT Al****:: GM all, good luck today
3/4/2011 7:19:39 AM MT Al****:: mm: usually not, but it could be
3/4/2011 6:02:36 AM MT mm****:: Al - I cannot find any source that confirms your data supplier's L of 1301.5 for yesterday - both the WSJ and eSignal have 1305 - does your service sometimes have it wrong?
3/4/2011 5:41:54 AM MT mm****:: gm all - 7F and sunny - have a great day
9:00 Eastern-System: No comments
