Nvidia Lives Up To Expectations
Chaos Clinic for March 22, 2019

The Chaos Clinic of 2/1/2019 suggested that NVDA, the maker of massively parallel
Graphic Processing Units (GPUs), was a good candidate for a rally.
At that time, NVDA price was about $140, and only a possible move 2 of 7 in an up
Chaos Clamshell was visible.
Since then an increasingly positive pattern has developed. In a Chaos Clamshell,
the 5th move is is often the largest and best to trade. That move began this week.
As shown on the chart, the moves 3 and 4 are clear.
A rainbow of EXMAs helps identify these moves. On this 8 hour bar chart, the EXMAs
track the 3 day, 6 day, and 12 day cycles. During moves 2, 3, and 4, the EXMAs
stayed fairly close together, separating just enough to clearly show the moves.
The current move 5 is different. The EXMAs are diverging, and the slopes are
much steeper. This is the sign of a strong move.
In February, I made price targets based on retracements of the October to January drop.
The 33% retracement to 180 has already been reached. A rally to the 50% retracement
to 208 is quite reasonable.
Move fives can develope into extended moves, where move five becomes a 7 move Chaos Clamshell
of its own. With the renewed interest in tech stocks, this is possible in NVDA.
A trailing stop just under 6 day EXMA should capture a good gain.
