Chaos Clinic Recap
Here are Al's comments
2:05 now I'm done. The S&P can go do whatever it wants. I'm heading for the Rockies. Thanks for coming. See you next week. Take a course.
2:01 there may be more, but still under yesterday's high, and can fail any time
1:59 covered for +5.5
1:56 stop 1129-testing high of day
1:52 stop 1128.5-make a bit
1:50 stop 1128-break even
1:49 stop 1127
1:45 stop 1126
1:44 stop 1125
1:42 OK, buying 1128 stop 1123
1:37 trading both sides of 110-watching
1:35 hugh top wick on that candle
1:33 getting a bit of buying
1:27 retrace only about 1/3 of range; so market has held up; the question is, can it get enough volume to rally?
1:25 in trade window, but not much juice
1:12 one thing to watch is how many 3 minute candels are in a swing, and whether or not that swing really made any progress
here we see a 3 candle 8+ point rally, then a 6 candle 9+ point decline, now in a little rally-no real progress
1:00 this is a great weekend for the New York traders to take off early and drive up through throug New England to see the fall colors
12:55 first high was about this price-3 hours ago-trade is flat
12:50 about a 7 minute 3 minute candle - big top wick - noise level is high
12:47 interesting little blip-came on the little vertical "jerk" in the MoonTides
12:45 one of the most important lessons to learn is when not to trade; when the volatility dies off, the odds of a good trade drop sharply
12:30 the 440 EXMA is only slighty up, so momentum is waning. Reduced MoonTide swings suggested this
12:25 looks to me like the rest of the day just congests
12:16 at the second Tide time, not a trade time; looks like high on red -Tide; saw green +Tide until 10:00, then inverted to low on red -Tide, so getting mixed Tides
12:10 still almost two hours until next trade time - high up 980 degrees from equinox price of 1116=180 degrees
yesterday's highs were a tad higher
12:08 I'm back- took Scamp and Scout for a walk in the park on a beautiful Colorado day
11:22 taking a breakfast break
11:11 there was a little more in that trade, but that often happens-what matters is what you bank, not what you see and dream could have been yours
11:06 stalled at the Chiron/Neptune electric field flux, which has stopped swings on the 2 day chart
10:57 on the ASTRO charts the flux lines and timelines are marked with leeters, ususally the first leter of the planet,
but 3 are different-T is The moon, R is maRs, and O is the nOde
10:52 even in volatile times, I take any 9 I get because the risks are higher and the counterswings can take it all back
10:50 out for +9; just fine; pour the wine
10:48 stop to 1120, break even, and cover target 1129
10:47 stop to 1118
10:45 stop to 1117-limit risk to 3 points
10:42 certainly not any easy day for trading
10:37 still very choppy ; trade OK so far
10:32 so far OK-what I was looking for was a chance to get in on a dip with a reasonable stop
10:30 EXMA's take time to react-the 110 turned up and the 20 gave a continuation buy
10:27 putting sell stop at 1116, bought 1120
10:26 at Tide time-20 still above 110-watching for any juice on a rally
10:23 so far today I see a rally with about a 50% retrace inside yesterday's range
10:21 110 EXAM has curled over-no clear setup right now
10:15 possible continuation buy setting up; stop could go at 1117.75
10:13 trading inside yesterday's afternoon range-still congesting
10:10 any buy could use a stop at 118, below the 110 EXMA
10:06 the 110 EXMA is up, but 440 is flat to down, so not much "flow"; 20 EXMA well above 110, so not a sell setup
10:02 I want to see how we come out of this Tide time; I was reluctant to buy because of the choppy conditions
10:00 made it above the 440 EXMA but settling back on it
9:55 tracking the green +Tide so far
9:52 a sell stop would have to go under 1114, so risk is high
9:49 buying now would not give a good entry price, so I'll wait and look for a dip
9:48 9+ point pop in few minutes-whitewater
9:46 looking bullish-up to the 440 EXMA
9:44 trading around the flux bundle due to Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn
9:39 pretty lackluster so far-110 EXMA is up and 20 EXMA gave a weak continutaion-waiting
9:27 on the MTRAinbow chart all the longer averages are off the chart above, the 440 EXMA is currently down,
and the shorter ones are forming a tangled braid with prices traqding both sides; a congestion -watch for now
9:22 Happy Fall Equinox - the equinoxes usually find prices attracted to 180 or 0 degrees
On the wheel of 72, 1116 is 180 degrees
9:14 today's trade times are 10:26 and 13:43; MoonTide amplitude decreases during day,
suggesting a "hold it up and ponder the situtation" type day
9:00 Good morning from Chaos Manor

9/23/2011 12:11:21 PM MT mm****:: I also bailed when it reached yesterday's H of 1135.50 - also because the MT predict a drop into 14:38, when I probably re-buy - I trust the MT - have been my Guiding Lights for decades !
9/23/2011 12:05:39 PM MT WRB:: Kidding around --- down here when trees are brown in August = dead.
9/23/2011 11:34:29 AM MT mm****:: Only brown is not good enough - it mainly has to be shades of yellow and red.
9/23/2011 11:29:19 AM MT WRB:: You can come down to houston. Since we have not had any real rain since last OCTOBER, our trees turned from green to brown months ago...
9/23/2011 11:23:13 AM MT mm****:: But talking business again: we had THREE 20/110 - crossings in 15 min - how dull can it get!
9/23/2011 11:21:29 AM MT mm****:: Well - northern Maine, next to Canada, is still NE !
9/23/2011 11:20:24 AM MT mm****:: Al - Beats me - people may ask for their money back - LOL !
9/23/2011 11:19:12 AM MT Al****:: MM-then why does Brendan Vacations (Brendanvacations.com)
have a Fall colors tour going this week through next week?
9/23/2011 11:16:54 AM MT mm****:: On the other hand: Al - no colorful foliage yet - perhaps in CANADA - here in NE we get it in October - Wall Street still spends the weekends in the Hamptons - still warm here
9/23/2011 11:13:05 AM MT mm****:: Still in AWE at the MT - seeing this little jerk I did not take the 20/110 crossing right away - unless one had a 9pt stop one would have been stopped out !
9/23/2011 10:37:53 AM MT WRB:: Don't bail on us for the next trade Al!!!!
9/23/2011 9:01:06 AM MT Al****:: glad you make it work for you-not easy today
9/23/2011 8:57:57 AM MT WRB:: Great one Al - it is a good feeling when I know to make the trade and tehn see that you make it at the same place
9/23/2011 7:59:59 AM MT skd:: Question: 10:26 trade.. your expecting a Sell? based on tide? also the letter "O" or number zero is their.. what does that mean?
9/23/2011 7:22:46 AM MT WRB:: Good luck to all - hoping for a fun clinic today!
9/23/2011 7:17:44 AM MT Al****:: GM all-good luck today
9/23/2011 6:52:13 AM MT skd:: Hello, Im new here as you can see. looking forward to learning something today. Gluck... ps advise if texting is ok or not for non-members tks.
9/23/2011 4:51:04 AM MT mm****:: gm all - have a great day
9/23/2011 4:38:28 AM MT TG****:: Futures tanking overnight back towards the lows of yesterday. Seems like 10 years ago a bit when the post 9/11 panic dropped into Friday morning 9/21 before putting on a good bear market rally.
