Chaos Clinic Recap

Here are Al's comments
3:18 I'm done. Thanks for coming. See you next week. Take a course.
3:15 I covered because I could see 7 swings in the rally. Hard to get anything today, so take while you got it.
3:12 covered for +2
3:08 stop to 18
3:02 today is a good example of using the MTRainbow chart to watch for a subtle pattern
3:00 still looking good
2:51 stop to 17.5
2:45 we may reackh the Moon +T315 flux near 1224.5
2:43 trade looking good. Looks like the 2:30 short covering has begun
2:37 if you have taken the CTME course, you will see a link on the left side of the ListOfCharts page. Check it
2:33 regular TG asked a good question in the chat room, which I answered there.
2:30 coming right to that point in XTide where a rally was suggested
2:21 several minor highs on the Sun +H090 flux says Sun is hot. Have lows at 9:00 and 12:00. Watch 15:00
2:15 normally, I'd cover and go home. Today, just because it is a Chaos Clinic, I'll hang around.
2:10 testing the 440
2:00 now getting some juice; can really see it on my 2 hour line chart
1:58 the last three minor lows hit a nice trendline up
1:56 Fractal grid says hang in there
1:53 been falling asleep and mistyping the time :) ; times are in Eastern
1:46 very subtle: 440 EXMA slightly up and holding the lows
1:24 on the MTRainbow chart I see the averages starting to diverge
1:15 not a lot of motion yet. A trendline under the lows ends the day near 1221.
1:07 got a little juice passsing the Mars/Jupiter/Uranus timelines
1:04 trade looking OK; I looked at the converging triange and saw the centerline at 1218. I wanted an entry at that price.
1:00 the morning drop was 4.5 three point quantums. Ganns' squaring of price and time using 3 points per hour says it takes
4.5 hours to digest the drop
12:52 at the bottom of t5he Chaos Clinic chart is a magental line marked XTide. This is an indicator of minor
volatility moves. Note that near 14:30 it expands upward, suggesting some short covering
This indicator is not the same as XTide2. Bad choice of names on my part.
12:42 this is not a hotline trade; I passed on one and took a small loss on the second. This is one based on my reading that we are flat or up to the close
12:40 rebought 1218, stop still 1216
12:33 regular MM calls these dull days "stinkers." They sure are.
12:26 I posted a Face of God chart in the CCT Room.
12:20 I'm back -see I did not miss much; still holding up; loosk like flat to up into the close
11:57 today is another dull Friday; taking a breakfast break
11:53 aborted for -2.5
11:45 from the low I see a 1-2-3-4 pattern, in a small up Chaos Clamshell
11:41 obviously entered too soon
11:31 still treading water
11:24 I have placed a Fractal Grid chart in the Certifed Chaos Trader's Room. That room is open
to graduates of my 4 main courses. See http://moneytide.com -> Courses for details.
11:05 here I'm looking at the longer EXMA's on the MTRainbow chart all up. I also have place a Fracal Grid on that chart
Fractal Grid is from the Chaos Trading Made Easy course

11:00 getting a little juice; buying 1119.5 stop 1116; may be early
10:50 that will be about the next trade time. This first one looks like a pass. 10:44 if the market can hold up until about 11:45, we may see a renewed interest in buying.
This is based on using techniqes taught in the Chaos Trading Made Easy course.
10:36 the MTRAinbow chart is still saying FLAT, STAY OUT
10:30 I trade with the Interactive Brokers desktop TWS. It can create a 2 hour line chart wit a 5 second sample rate
I find it useful for close in decision making. It also has a chart trader, which lets youplace trades right on the chart.
10:27 buying came in at 1216.25
10:22 my sell point is about 1216 if it comes with some juice
10:21 not a lot of juice; just watching
10:16 flat longer term EXMAs warn that the short ones will give a lot of false signals
10:14 still not anxious to do anything-basing on 440 EXMA
10:12 may get a 20/110 sell, in what I call a "hook and go"
10:11 early Friday trades often have a lot of chop
10:09 1220 is about a 50% retrace of the early move; another reason to be cautious
10:07 A Fractal of Pi overlay on the MTRainbow chart suggests this rally may fade soon
10:02 getting continuation buy on the 20/110; still watching, since 440 EXMA is flat
9:52 minor high was on the Sun +H090 electric field flux line
9:46 the first Friday employment report is heavily traded by the high frequency hedge funds. Their computers jump on the report
and drive prices, but only for about 15 minutes. During these periods, these firms do about 70% of the volume.
High frequency hedge funds trade for very short periods of time, sometimes as short as seconds.
9:41 support came from the pair of moon flux near 1215. That and the pair near 1224 suggest a 9 point range today
see the SPSun/Moon/Mer chart.
9:32 opening down a bit after weak jobs report-on MTR%ianbow, the 440 EXMA has turned flat, suggesting a congestion day
Trade times today are 10:09 and 11:41
9:00 Good morning from Chaos Manor

Besides the comments made by Al, the chat room is has live
comments from other traders who sometimes share their views,
trades and tips. Below are the chat room comments from this clinic

12/3/2010 1:54:29 PM MT Al****:: I did grab 4 in my own account on that late pop
have a good weekend everyone
12/3/2010 1:51:27 PM MT TG****:: nope, I was thinking along the lines of a weak corrective chaos clam shell than a down streak (possibly very late today but more likely Monday. Looks like the corrective fractal had some juice in it right at very end and about on the last feasible streak in fractal grid.
12/3/2010 1:47:16 PM MT DPP****:: TG is this your streak?
12/3/2010 1:23:05 PM MT TG****:: have a great weekend Al, MM, everyone.
12/3/2010 12:34:31 PM MT TG****:: I don't see it either but that big down streak looks like it needs a twin. Maybe Monday early.
12/3/2010 12:32:01 PM MT Al****:: TG-I don't see that today, since it is a Friday after a big up week.
12/3/2010 12:21:38 PM MT TG****:: Al or any one else who would also like to answer. What do you think would open the door to a new low today in terms of just the charts (i.e., not a news item/something unexpected like that). No new high in more than 3 hours though there was a decent retrace of 61.8% twice. I've noticed no new high by about 3 pm or on a gap day no close in the gap by 3pm could end a corrective fractal like the current one and send prices down in a streak.
12/3/2010 10:51:41 AM MT Al****:: that makes it official
12/3/2010 10:48:30 AM MT mm****:: I am afraid that - unless a miracle happens - I have to declare today's trading "activity" another "mm stinker"
12/3/2010 8:22:23 AM MT RAH:: Al, on a day like this I appreciate your resources like Rainbow, and your commentary.... I would have been going mental trying to trade this congested EXMA chart on my computer... instead of just watching & staying out of the market!
12/3/2010 8:14:25 AM MT RAH:: Al, what did you mean by "1220" (... is about 50% retracement)?
12/3/2010 7:40:33 AM MT rz:: Al, for your back problem, you should try spinal decompression therapy, chiropators in the NY area have the machine that preforms the traction like therapy. I was crippled by a ruptured disc and pinched nerves, 99% recovered now. I have nevered heard a glowing endosement from back surgery pateints.
12/3/2010 7:38:46 AM MT RAH:: From Chaos Clinic posts, another flat Friday! I think I will continue with my CIOC coursework, and I only have 1/2 day at screen anyway. Market threatening a long entry by 1009, but I don't like the idea of congested trading!
12/3/2010 7:30:43 AM MT Al****:: GM all-good luck today
12/3/2010 7:30:28 AM MT RAH:: Any FoP indicators that I'm not aware of?
12/3/2010 7:28:45 AM MT RAH:: well, wild swing already in market, wondering if we're in for a repeat of yesterday?? MTRainbow very ambiguous re long vs short!
12/3/2010 6:32:03 AM MT EOE:: GM everyone. lets hope this isn't one of mm's stinker fridays. :-) good luck.
12/3/2010 6:26:36 AM MT mm****:: gm all - have a great day - cold and cloudy
