Part of the Big Picture of 1999 was Mercury coming up into the picture from below. As it did so, it came to a point where it passed between the earth and the sun. To astronomers, this is "Mercury at Inferior Conjunction." Astrologers use a much more colorful name - COMBUST.
This point in the pattern was not the high. That was brought about by Venus and the Moon transiting Saturn. When they did so, the upward lift ended, but the market just sat there. It took COMBUST to drop it sharply.
The drop was correctly forecast with MTZD6, a 6 to 8 day filtered version of the MoonTides.
